I came all the way from France to join the 7-day yoga retreat at Yog Drishyam in Goa. I was feeling stressed from my job in Paris and needed a break. This retreat changed my life in so many ways! The teachers were amazing. They explained everything clearly and helped me improve my yoga poses. I had never done yoga before, but they made it easy to learn. Each morning we started with meditation on the beach. Watching the sunrise over the ocean while meditating was magical. The food was delicious and healthy. We had fresh vegetarian meals three times a day. I loved trying new Indian dishes. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. I shared a room with two other girls from Germany and we became good friends. During the retreat, we learned different types of yoga - Hatha, Vinyasa, and even some Ashtanga. The teachers were patient and gave us individual attention. I also enjoyed the breathing exercises (pranayama) which helped me feel calm and relaxed. One of my favorite parts was the cultural activities. We visited local markets, tried traditional Indian clothes, and learned about Indian culture. The schedule is designed to balance practice, learning, relaxation, and exploration of beautiful Goa.
We recommend packing: comfortable yoga clothes, swimwear, light casual clothing, sunscreen, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, personal toiletries, a journal, and any personal yoga props (though we provide mats and basic props). Goa has a warm tropical climate, so light, breathable fabrics are ideal.
Our yoga retreat center is located in North Goa, easily accessible from Goa International Airport (GOI). We provide detailed travel instructions upon booking. Many guests fly into Goa from major Indian cities or international destinations. We can also help arrange airport transfers for an additional fee.
Included: Accommodation, all meals, daily yoga and meditation sessions, workshops, cultural activities, and certificate of completion. Not included: Airfare, airport transfers, travel insurance, personal expenses, additional therapies or treatments, and any activities outside the scheduled program.
Our Goa yoga retreats are perfect for solo travelers, couples, and groups of friends! Many guests come alone and leave with new friends from around the world. We create a warm, inclusive community atmosphere. If you're coming with a partner or friends, we can arrange shared accommodation.
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy allows for full refunds up to 30 days before the retreat start date. Cancellations between 15-30 days receive a 50% refund, and within 14 days are non-refundable but transferable to future retreats. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
